About Natasha

Natasha Anderson, a qualified counsellor, experienced Sex & Relationship Therapist and Sex & Porn Addiction Therapist.

I am an accredited Sex and Relationship Therapist, qualified Counsellor, Sexual Addiction Therapist and work as a Sexual Health Specialist within the NHS, Birmingham. I am a member of the College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and a UKCP registered psychotherapist,  I am also CRB checked and insured.

Over the past 15 years I have worked with survivors of rape, sexual violence, childhood sexual abuse, sexual dysfunctions, young people, sexual health and pregnancy. I am committed to providing Counselling and Sex and Relationship Psychotherapy. Within my private practice I work with adult couples and individuals.

I continue to develop myself has a Counsellor and Sex Therapist, by attending professional development days as well as engaging in therapy, for my own personal growth. I am trained to Masters level and have over 15 years Counselling and Psychotherapy experience.

I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, and the moment to moment experience, the ‘here and now’. My therapy is integrated, in that my core approaches are Gestalt and Person Centred. These approaches lend themselves nicely to Psychodynamic therapy, which addresses the unconscious, systemic therapy, which explores the impact of family, community, culture etc., and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which aims to adjust old behaviours through homework exercises and with client motivation.

I do not discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, religious belief, gender sexuality, ethnicity, age or disability.

In counselling you can talk about thoughts, feelings, the world and your position in it, with the full attention of a trained and trusted professional. Some problems will never go away, however, how we cope or allow our problems to impact us can be changed.
